Jenny Ball has been inaugurated as the new president of the Hampshire Amateur Swimming association. Jenny has been a member for more than 20 years and an active member of its executive committee for more than a decade. She was nominated for the role after colleagues saw her had work in organising the 2011 NatWest Island Games swimming competition at Medina Leisure Centre and she is understood to be the first Islander to take the post.

Her role for the next 12 monhts will be to act as a figurehead for the organisation, as well as attending its high profile events and making presentations. Her husband, David, said “She was absolutely thrilled to be made president, it is a huge honour for her”.
