Solent swim – 15th July 2012
We did it!!!
Amazingly the rain stopped, the wind dropped and the sun peeked through the clouds.
All the teams, made up of two swimmers and a kayaker, set off early in the morning from Hurst Castle on the mainland with 64 swimmers and 46 kayakers to reach Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight. An amazing send off by the supporting boats and kayakers and a fantastic welcome home in Colwell Bay on the Isle of Wight. A truly memorable experience for all those who took part including a number of Marlins members.
Money was raised for the West Wight Sports Centre plus a number of other worthwhile charities.
