To see Helga, who is 83, come from Germany every year is lovely. Again this event shows that swimming is open to all ages, with Island swimmer Jenny Ball aged 87 and Roy Wilson aged 79 from Ruislip & Northwood still involved. I know that many of the swimmers and their friends stayed over on the Island. I would like to give a thank you to the members of the IOW Marlins Swim Club who make this event possible especially Fiona Newnham MBE for her organisational skills. Finally thank you to Medina Pool Staff for preparing the Pool.”
